Reluctantly, Mark agrees and joins the team as they follow Godzilla to Antarctica, where Jonah plans to release a dangerous three-headed Titan called "Monster Zero".

Emma releases Monster Zero, who turns out to be hostile and kills members of the Monarch team. It is revealed that Emma is working with the terrorists and believes that awakening the Titans is the only way to heal the Earth. She awakens Rodan in Mexico and lures it to Monster Zero. Godzilla intervenes and a battle ensues, with the U.S. military launching a weapon called the "Oxygen Destroyer" that seemingly kills Godzilla. However, Monster Zero regrows his head and awakens other dormant Titans worldwide, causing chaos.

Monarch realizes that Monster Zero is actually an alien called King Ghidorah, who seeks to terraform Earth. Mothra communicates with Godzilla, who is healing in the Hollow Earth. Serizawa sacrifices himself by detonating a nuclear warhead to revive Godzilla and increase his power. Emma realizes that Ghidorah's control over the other Titans will cause massive destruction and tries to stop it, but Jonah ignores her. Madison steals the Orca and broadcasts a frequency to calm the Titans, unintentionally attracting them to Boston.

Godzilla arrives in Boston to battle Ghidorah with the help of Monarch. Mark leads a team to rescue Madison while Mothra fights Rodan. Ghidorah overpowers Godzilla, but Mothra sacrifices herself and transfers her energy to him. Emma distracts Ghidorah with the Orca, allowing Mark, Madison, and the Monarch team to escape. Godzilla reaches a new empowered state and defeats Ghidorah. The other Titans bow to him as their new leader.

The movie concludes with the Titans healing the planet, the discovery of a second Mothra egg, and hints of a battle between Godzilla and Kong. In a post-credits scene, Jonah obtains Ghidorah's severed head.
